Som-O is Thai for the fruit Pomelo. She is sweet, tangy, and bright. She’s at the street fruit stalls and our home kitchen. She’s versatile, but takes up flavor and space wherever she goes. At the studio, we draw from her radiant and refreshing spirit.Â
About us
Our studio was founded by four Thai girlfriends who were raised in Bangkok and have since found homes across New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Living in between these cities, we often find ourselves returning home, wandering into tucked away boutiques, and playing dress up with emerging Thai brands.Â
We adore pieces that are carefully designed, well-tailored, and fluid enough to survive a motorcycle ride in the humid heat. They remind us of the Southeast Asian spirit of creativity that is marked by its craft and playful energy.
Our curation
We curate Som-O with this instinct in mind, seeking pieces that pulse with the same creative energy. We started with Thailand because it's home, but our vision spans the region. Southeast Asia has always had a fashion moment and we're now leaning into all of it.
